No. This Excel to CSV converter runs entirely in your browser. Files are parsed with JavaScript and converted to CSV locally, without sending data to any server.
Will leading zeros and long IDs be preserved in the CSV?
The tool reads formatted cell values from your Excel sheet and writes them as plain text into the CSV, which helps keep leading zeros and long IDs. However, when you open the CSV in Excel again, Excel may still try to auto-format some numbers. In that case, import the CSV as text columns in Excel.
Can I convert large Excel files to CSV?
You can convert reasonably large Excel files, but the limit depends on your browser memory and CPU. For very large workbooks, it is safer to split them into smaller files or export one sheet at a time.
Does this tool support multiple sheets and different delimiters?
Yes. If your Excel file has multiple sheets, you can choose which sheet to convert. You can also switch between common delimiters such as comma, semicolon and tab to match your target system.
